Edward's hair is way to bright for him and it doesnt even look like there are defining lines between his hair and face and background. They also changed the style of art which kinda bothers me too. It looks more childish and less serious; for example on the first image you show of Edward as a child and then him as a child in Brotherhood. The first one is much more dramatic and the one from Brotherhood is just childish and lacks the dramatic effect.
